As a result of our focus on new product development and engineering, in the last year Veeco launched a significant number of new products, including in our Instrumentation division; our BioScope II, Caliber SPM, 5th Generation Dimension and MultiMode, the Dektak 150 and NT9000 series optical profilers as well as new MOCVD and MBE systems. Veeco continues to place tremendous emphasis and focus on delivering high-performance, value added and differentiated products to you, our customer. Our goal is to help you remain ahead of the game, whether it is in leading research, or to enable you to produce competitive products at reduced cost and increased productivity. To that end, in 2006 Veeco continued to spend a significant percentage of our revenues in Research and Development – last year $60 million was spent company-wide, one third of which was in Metrology and Instrumentation.
